Justine Levan, PhD

Bioinformatician

Justine (she/her/hers) grew up in Moorpark, California and competed her undergraduate education at UC San Diego, earning a B.S. in Human Biology. She then moved to Seattle, Washington for her PhD at the University of Washington in the Pathobiology Interdisciplinary Graduate Program. There, her dissertation work in the Katzenellenbogen Lab focused on manipulation of the epithelial cell environment and pathways by high-risk human papillomavirus.

When not in the lab, Justine loves cooking, kickboxing, and spending time with her two siblings that live in the city. She is always on the hunt for the best french fries or pie and eager to find nearby hiking.
