Lucas Chen

Staff Research Associate

Lucas grew up in Daly City and attended the University of California, Irvine for his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences. His first lab job involved studying breast cancer using microfluidic devices under Dr. Chris C.W. Hughes. During undergrad, he authored a cancer cell line review and studied how vascular-normalizing agents affect drug treatments for breast cancer tumors.

When not in the lab, Lucas can be found taking hikes with his dog Nala, playing basketball or lifting, and going to local concerts with friends and family. He also enjoys visiting breweries in the area or staying in to watch horror/thriller movies.
