Amanda (she/her/hers) grew up in Pleasanton, California, but went to San Diego State University (SDSU) for her undergraduate degree. She graduated in May of 2021 with a B.S. in Biology and minors in Honors and Chemistry. Amanda worked as an undergraduate researcher for Dr. Jeet Sukumaran studying species delimitation and bioinformatics. Throughout her undergraduate degree, she worked at Palomar Health Hospitals as a clinical intern. In the fall, she will be starting her Master’s in Biomedical Science at San Francisco State University.
Amanda loves music and cannot wait until she can go to a concert again. She is also a vegetarian and tries to find new, meatless recipes to cook in her free time. Amanda is excited to live in her favorite city and is excited to explore it further!
