Mikias Ilala

Mikias (he/him/his) grew up in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and came to California in 2014. He studied at Contra Costa College and then transferred to UC Berkeley to complete his undergraduate degree. In undergrad he studied Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Immunology, where he developed interest for research in Immunology and pathogenesis.
When not in the lab, Mikias loves to hike, swim, bike and cook.
