Rania Bouzeyen, PhD

Postdoc

Rania (she/her/hers) grew up in Tunis, Tunisia and completed her undergrad degree in Biology-Geology and Masters in Immunology from University of Tunis EL Manar where she developed interest for research in immunology of infection diseases.

Rania earned her PhD in December 2020 in Dr. Makram Essafi’s lab at Institut Pasteur de Tunis where we worked in collaboration with local and international teams to understand host innate immune responses to mycobacterial infection and developed new tools to prevent tuberculosis.

When not in the lab, Rania loves to cook, hike, explore the city, and photograph flowers.
