Sophie Samiee

Sophie grew up in Portland, OR and attended Pitzer College for her undergraduate degree in Biology. During undergrad, she worked in clinical research labs studying multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, and REM sleep behavior disorder. For her undergrad thesis project, she developed a methodology for testing amoxicillin samples in low-income countries.
When not in the lab, Sophie can be found throwing ceramics; doing a crossword; cooking with friends; or brewing kombucha.
